What to Expect At Your Child’s First Visit
Here’s what you can typically expect during your child’s first visit to our office:
Schedule the next visit. If your child’s teeth and mouth are healthy, we’ll plan to see you again in 6 months. If treatment is needed, we’ll schedule the appropriate restorative care.
Prior to arrival. You’ll receive appointment reminders and online forms by text to make things easier for you.
Warm welcome. From the moment you arrive, you and your child will be greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. Our cozy, family-friendly environment is designed to help you feel at home. Enjoy complimentary refreshments while you wait.
New patient forms. We’ll ask you to complete new patient forms and provide your insurance information. These forms are conveniently available online and by text, so you can complete them ahead of time if you prefer.
Oral examination and teeth cleaning. Your child’s first visit usually includes a gentle oral exam and a professional teeth cleaning. We may also apply fluoride to help strengthen their teeth.
Dental X-Rays. We may take dental X-rays depending on your child’s individual needs. If it’s their first dental visit, we might take baseline images to help us monitor their growth and development over time.
