About Dr. McGovern
Hello! I’m Dr. Chau McGovern, a board-certified pediatric dentist. I grew up in South Florida and attended college here at Nova Southeastern University.
I moved to the Midwest to pursue my Doctorate in Dental Surgery at Indiana University, completing my degree in 2016. After that, I relocated back home to be near my family and practiced as an associate for 3 years until I finally decided to follow my heart and specialize in pediatric dentistry!
I completed my 2-year residency training at Nova Southeastern University (yes, that makes me a double NSU Shark!) then my board certification shortly after.
In my spare time, I love being with my family taking walks around the neighborhood and finding our next foodie adventure! I also enjoy photography and trying my hand at DIY projects.
I consider my career in pediatric dentistry truly rewarding, and I thrive on the moments where I see that I have made a positive impact on my patient’s (or even their parent’s) day.

Whether it be an esthetic impact, such as repairing a broken tooth due to trauma, the reward comes from seeing the patient’s reaction when they look at the treated tooth in the mirror. Or it could be an emotional impact, like a patient who has struggled with dental visits finally having a great experience.
Every single smile, thank you, high five, hug, or successful visit brings joy to me and reminds me why I practice pediatric dentistry. I would be honored to be chosen as your child’s dentist.
